Position Title:Â Events and Programs Manager
Reports to: Coalition DirectorÂ
Status: Salaried, Full-Time (exempt); Remote position anywhere in Oregon with some in-state travel expected.
Compensation: Compensation: $62,000 – $65,000 starting salary range $537.50/month Health Reimbursement Arrangement
$50/month home office/cellphone stipend

Oregon Trails Coalition exists under the fiscal umbrella of 501(c)(3) non-profit, Trailkeepers of Oregon (TKO). All Coalition staff are staff of TKO and subject to all TKO policies

Role of the Position
Oregon Trails Coalition is seeking a friendly, organized, and reliable events and programs manager to support Coalition programming including training program management, forwarding signature trails, supporting statewide stewardship capacity, and delivering our signature events including the Oregon Outdoor Recreation Summit, Trails Day at the Capitol, and Policy Makers Ride. We hope to find an individual willing to grow in their skills as our organization grows.
Event Management: (Oregon Outdoor Recreation Summit, Trails Day at the Capitol, Policy Makers Ride) (60%)
Work with relevant committees and Coalition Director to build event programs and agendas
Manage event registration including setting up registration forms and responding to customer service needs
Support development of print and digital collateral including building out digital programs and requesting and organizing information and other assets from presenters, sponsors, and key partners
Manage sponsor benefits; provide administrative support for executing sponsor/exhibitor agreements and assist in new sponsor prospecting
Coordinate with and provide support to presenters, field workshop leaders, speakers, event volunteers, etc
Administer scholarship program (summit)
Assist with other event coordination logistics and onsite support with an eye toward building inclusive, welcoming, and accessible events
Support event outreach and promotion via direct outreach and social media
Training and Stewardship Program Management (Backcountry First Aid/CPR and other trails skills trainings) (20%)
Manage scheduling and logistics details for onsite and virtual trainings.
Manage training registration and respond to customer service inquiries.
Coordinate with contracted trainers and partner/host organizations
Provide basic tech and/or facilitation support for online trainings as needed.
Maintain trails stewardship training directory, training calendar, and stewardship partner list
Maintain training records and provide information for reports to funders
Handle scheduling, communications, agenda development, and facilitation for monthly trails stewardship coordination workgroup. Take and send out notes.Â
Share trainings on social media as appropriate
Forwarding Signature Trails (6% of hours)
Maintain signature trails project investment opportunity list by requesting project updates from contacts every six months
Produce summary report of signature trails investments and status twice a year
Administer signature trails outreach event sponsorships; collect information from events for tracking outcomes and reporting to funders
General Program and Administrative Support (14% of hours)
Help maintain coalition files, records, database, etc as assigned with an eye toward continually improving coalition systems and seeking out alternative technologies/systems when appropriate.
Manage coalition social media accounts with consistent posting and engagement across coalition activities
Manage individual communications with an eye toward being a relationship tender and connector, and engaging partners across multiple coalition program areas as appropriate.Â
Support additional coalition convenings, meet-ups, forums, focus-groups, etc as determined in partnership with coalition director.
Contribute to shaping coalition strategic direction in regards to specific program areas and broader campaigns
Track all working hours appropriately by program category
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities  Â
An interest in supporting, promoting, and advocating for the preservation, development, and stewardship of a statewide network of sustainable, world class trails that benefit all of Oregon’s residents and visitors, and inspire respect for Oregon’s natural and cultural resources.
A high level of individual initiative, organization, and problem-solving skills to work remotely with limited supervision within a small staff and a broad pool of community partners.
A working knowledge of and experience using Zoom and Google office products, and an ability to learn how to use other web-based admin interfaces as needed including database/CRM, graphic design tools, and registration/event platforms.
Attention to detail, high standards, and accuracy, especially in tracking time by program category, information collection, correspondence with partners, and reporting to funders.Â
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a commitment to respectful communication, tending organizational relationships, and willingness to communicate via email, phone, online conferencing, and in-person as required
