I've been representing Oregon Trails Coalition on the Metro Parks and Nature Bond Renewal Stakeholder Advisory Committee. It has been a wonderful opportunity to learn from conservation organizations, culturally diverse community leaders, and agency staff about the many community goals for a bond renewal while voicing the importance of trails to our communities around that table.
Since the last stakeholder meeting, Metro Council has been hosting work sessions on the Parks and Nature Bond and discussing how trails fit. Yesterday, the Oregon Trails Coalition and other partners sent the following open letter to Metro Council.
